with the purpose of God in our lives.
SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE
A new series Pastor Young has devoted to the search for TRUTH in today's
Church. This important issue is greater now than at any recent time in
the history of the Church. It has been and will always be the pre-eminent
battle ground for the Church, but now the issues have been clouded by
the very institution that the Lord gave the command to guard the truth,
the Church itself. (I Tim. 3:15)
BIBLE OVERVIEW
This is an exciting new series on the Word of God in the format of a
Bible study every Wednesday evening. Pastor Young is starting in the book
of Genesis and giving an overview of each book in the Word of God with
emphasis placed on II Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly
furnished unto all good works".
THAT I MAY KNOW HIM
"That I may know Him" is not for the faint hearted, but a challenging
series on getting to know God better. This series is based on Phillipians
3:10 "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and
the fellowship of His sufferings, being made comformable unto His death;".
Pastor Young teaches us through the Word of God that Christianity is not
something we do, it is something we are.
THE CHURCH
"The Church" series contains several sermons by Pastor Dennis
Young on the Church, the Body of Christ. What is it? When did it start?
How does one become a member of the Body of Christ? Where does it get
its authority? How is it to govern itself? These questions and others
are discussed in detail about the Church which is His Body.
THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY
"The Work Of The Ministry" informs us about the service we
have to each other as Christians and to those without Christ. Pastor Dennis
Young has devoted this series to help us to better understand that the
work of the ministry is not appropriated to a select few in the Church,
but each and every member of the Body of Christ is responsible to every
other member for the "perfecting of the Saints".
SEEING THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD
How do we see ourselves? How do others see us? Both are false perceptions
if we do not actually see ourselves as God sees us. Scriptural views as
God sees us is the only accurate image we have of ourselves in the search
for truth.
SOWING & REAPING
"Sowing & Reaping" is an in depth discussion concerning
the "Law of the Harvest" as proclaimed in the Word of God. Much
emphasis is placed on the family in this series and each member's responsibility
to their husband, wife and children.
VARIOUS TOPICS
"Various Topics" include some of Dr. Young's favorite sermons
on various subjects covering Christian living and exhortations to live
for Christ for a closer and more meaningful relationship with our Lord
and Savior. Questions such as "What does it mean to be a Christian?"
and "What does God expect of us as Christians?" are answered
with the Scriptures in a manner that encourages us to "Fall in love
with Jesus".
