The Butterfly Gang

The Butterfly Gang is a puppet ministry that began in 1996 and consists of 19 people ranging from age 10 to 53. They are a traveling team whose mission is to spread the love of Jesus in a fun, exciting, interactive way using puppets of all types, blacklights, props, and special effects with the focus always on Jesus. It is a ministry of encouragement for all ages. The Butterfly Gang goes wherever the Lord leads and has enjoyed sharing at church worship services, street parties, fall festivals, nursing homes, and even parades.

The Butterfly Gang originated in March 1996 when the team's director, Connie Gibbs, was called by God to begin a puppet ministry. Beginning with 5 puppets donated by her home church in Georgia, 2 puppets found in a warehouse, a stage, and a group of people seeking God's will for their lives and this ministry, the Butterfly Gang started performing in August 1996. The ministry has now grown to around 50 puppets including animals, a heart, a tree, a clock, candles, etc. It is truly amazing what Jesus will do when we give him full reign in our lives and ministries. Praise the Lord!!

The Butterfly Gang's theme verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new," with the butterfly representing the new life that Jesus gives to all when they ask.
